Vikings Lacrosse Club
The Central Florida Lacrosse Club, aka the Vikings Lacrosse team, is dedicated to growing lacrosse in East Orlando. Our mission is to teach young men various life skills through lacrosse. Over the past 20 years, the Central Florida Lacrosse Club has trained some of the top players in the Orlando area. Many of these individuals went on to play lacrosse at the collegiate level and positively affect their communities.

Ages
Lacrosse is a great sport for ages 5+. Lacrosse teaches players several different fundamental athletic abilities including footwork, teamwork, communication, and hand eye coordination skills to name a few.
Depending on age and grade level, players will be placed onto specific teams that will help keep players safe and appropriately develop their skills.
When
Our program has four distinct seasons:
- Spring: February - April
- Summer: May - June
- Fall: September - November
- Winter: December - January
Program Levels
Depending on player age and grade level, they will be placed in one of the following programs:
- 8u: Kindergarten - 2nd grade
- 10u: 3rd - 4th grade
- 12u: 5th-6th grade
- 14u: 7th-8th grade
- HS: 8th grade - 12th grade
Practices
Practices will be held twice per week at Freedom Park in Eastwood.
Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Weather can often interfere with our practices, if this is the case we will do our best to reschedule a cancelled practice if the fields are available.
Games
8u/10u/12u/14u Dates:
- Currently recruiting for teams
- Training only sessions for Winter
Winter HS Tournament Dates:
- January 13th
- January 20-21
Jerseys
All players are required to wear the Viking jersey top with black shorts for games.
8u/10u/12u/14u will NOT need a uniform until teams are formed
If a HS player doesn't have the Viking Jersey, they will need to purchase one for an additional $50.
Extra Costs
Uniforms: All HS players who don't have the Viking jersey need to purchase one for an additional $50.
Equipment: Players need to provide their own lacrosse equipment and stick.
Travel and Lodging: Players need to provide their own travel and lodging for any non-local tournaments.
Equipment Needed
Players are required to have the following pieces of equipment at all practices and games:
- Helmet
- Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Gloves
- Stick
- Cleats
- Cup
- Mouthpiece
*Please note no equipment is needed besides cleats for Youth Training Sessions
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I purchase equipment?
There are several locations for you to get equipment for your player. It is recommended to go to Academy Sports or Dicks Sporting Goods to try on the equipment for correct sizing.
After you determine correct sizing, you can shop around online. There may also be used equipment at Play it Again Sports, but please confirm that the equipment still meets equipment standards for the current season.
How can I get involved?
We always need volunteers to help our program run smoothly. Here is a list of a few needs:
- Assistant Coach - No experience needed. We will train you to help run drills and practice plans. You will be required to take a background check and a few online courses.
- Team Parent - Help coordinate the end of year banquet, snacks for games, and help communicate with parents on the coaching staff's behalf.
- Photographer/Videographer - We love to highlight our players and their achievements through our website and social media. This volunteer will help make sure action shots and team photos are taken throughout the season.

12u/14u: December 4th- January 21st
HS: December 4th- January 21st
(We will NOT practice from December 18th-January 7th)
Practice Schedule:
Two practices per week for each age group.
Mondays and Wednesdays
Two weeks of practice in December and Two weeks of practice in January
8u/10u: 5:00 - 5:45 pm
12u/14u: 5:00 - 5:45 pm
HS: 3:30 - 5:00 pm

HS: Two tournaments
- LCO Play Day in Orlando (January 13th)
